Artist Statement

"I love the first black line on a white piece of paper. I love detail, bold colours and shapes - and building something. In fact, others have said my abstract work sometimes looks like machinery.

I'd get restless being an abstract painter all the time though, so I also paint figurative pictures. I combine a touch of fashion, art and humour in my work - others capture a moment or feeling. I quite like portraying the uncomfortable "elephant in the room".

My published prints have gone all over the world and I particularly like getting positive feedback from the people who own or collect them. It's the one thing that is guaranteed to really make my day.

I'm British, grew up in Canada and live on the south coast of England."
